The triple calendar Heuer ref. 1806 is one of the more under the radar timepieces Heuer produced. Heuer is most known for its sports watches and most notably their chronographs developed for automotive racing and aviation. The ref. 1806 triple calendar came out as Heuer's 90th-anniversary watch and was marketed as the "Half of a Millenium" watch as it came out in the year 1950.

Simplistic and charming is the best way to describe the Heuer ref. 1806 as this understated timepiece is filled with nuances that add up to an exciting wristwatch experience. The inner dial is a simple dress watch design with a brushed inner dial, applied gold markers, and the running seconds at 6 o'clock. This complements the outer blue date track perfectly which coincides beautifully with the serpent-like date indicator hand. An automatic bumper movement powers the watch and the day, date, and month complications and is a charming reminder of the era from which the watch is produced from.

CASE & BRACELET

The excellent stainless steel case retains its original case finishing and chamfers. The stepped stainless steel bezel is in wonderful condition showing light signs of use. The pushbuttons on the side of the case operate the date, day and month complications and the crown appears to be an early replacement. The watch will come on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The brushed silver inner dial is in wonderful vintage condition, showing some light surface marks and signs of age. The outer date track has taken on a slightly darker patina than the center of the dial and all of the blue numerals remain fully present and intact. The non-luminous alpha hands and blue date indicator hand remain original to the watch and in excellent condition. The language of the day and month wheels is Spanish.
